Description/Job Summary

Full Time Psychiatric Rehabilitation Worker needed-

Residential program in Bryn Mawr, PA is seeking qualified, highly motivated, compassionate individuals to provide supports to individuals who have been diagnosed with mental illness. Candidates will be expected to partner with individuals in working towards goals to increase independence in the community and within the residence.

Job responsibilities include:

  1. Develop skills lessons A. Teach skills to residents that help them attain their goals B. Practice/role play skills with residents C. Make sure residents can demonstrate skills mastery

  2. Must have a minimum of 3.0 billable contact hours each week with residents (billable hour minimum is subject to change)

  3. Complete intake packets

  4. Complete functional assessment

  5. Document progress towards recovery goals and any other significant resident interaction.

  6. Conduct, facilitate and document fire drills as assigned.

  7. Participate in Team Support Meetings and Staff Meetings as assigned.

  8. Participate in supervision with supervisor.

  9. Read log daily and document resident activity, interactions and progress towards goals in log at the end of each shift.

  10. Assist residents in obtaining all benefits for which they are eligible (e.g. Welfare, SSI)

  11. Support residents to appointments and shopping as needed as determined by treatment team.

  12. Conduct filing, chart auditing and medication reviews as assigned.

  13. Maintain all required documentation (Progress notes, recovery plans, summaries, etc. as designated by manager) for resident s charts per PRS and CRR state regulations.

  14. Provide emergency coverage when required.

  15. Maintain charts and keep all paperwork up to date

Candidates must have a Bachelor s Degree in Human Services or a related field, or a high school diploma with two years of experience, a valid drivers license, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a team-centered environment.

This is a full time position with the following hours: Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm. Starting salary is $16.50/hr Resources for Human Development is an equal opportunity employer.
